Music Discussion Thread - 6/5/20

2020.06.05 17:47 ghostfacekyle Music Discussion Thread - 6/5/20

Hey guys, music thread coming in hot. Heading down to a friend's beach house in a little so don't have much time for a full write up, but got some solid links for you. Playlist below has everything here like usual.
BarstoolSports Spotify playlist

NEW RELEASES:
RTJ 4 comes hot out of the gate with an absolute banger in “yankee and the brave (ep. 4)” and doesn’t relent the rest of the way. There’s also a nice cast of features which includes DJ Premier, Zack De La Rocha, Pharrell, Josh Homme, Mavis Staples, and 2 Chainz. Usually I’ll recommend a couple tracks off an album for those who I know don’t have the patience, but I feel like that’d be discrediting Killer Mike and El-P’s message with this one. It’s only 11 tracks anyway, just give it a listen. They put their money where their mouths are, I think you can give them 40 minutes of your time. In my honest opinion, this is the best Run The Jewels album to date, and for sure going to be one of my favorite albums of 2020.
Picking up right where RTJ left off. Also, 100% of "now, more than ever" merch sales will go towards foundations fighting racial inequality.
New band led by the frontman for Interpol, Paul Banks. Worth a listen for any indie rock fans out there.

That's all I got, let me know any other new or old music you guys have been listening to.

Eddie is coming to Europe for the concert in London with The Who and two other with Glen Hansard in Italy. Is there any other date or rumor of another concert? Is anyone thinking of going to the first Italian concert, in Florence?

2019.02.13 17:39 MisterBigDude Anyone else see the "Joni 75" movie?

I went to a theater last week to see a film of the concert given in honor of Joni's 75th birthday. It was worth seeing, but I was less blown away by the performances than I expected.
Norah Jones started with a lovely version of "Court and Spark," and then Glen Hansard did a pretty good "Coyote." I also enjoyed songs by Chaka Khan, Brandi Carlile, and Los Lobos (fronted by a woman named La Marisoul, who was new to me).
On the other hand, Diana Krall's two songs were not at all my cup of tea. Maybe I don't "get" her style of jazz, but I found them dull and off-key. I also didn't love Seal's or Rufus Wainwright's vocal stylings. Emmylou Harris and James Taylor were OK but not exceptional. Performances by Kris Kristofferson (who was clearly losing some physical and mental abilities - understandable in his 80s) and Graham Nash (who sang "Our House," which he'd written foabout Joni while dating her) were pleasant for sentimental reasons though not musically impressive.
I don't mean to be a wet blanket about this. I'm mainly just curious whether other folks on this subreddit saw the film and, if so, what their reactions were.

From the bedroom to pop Eden: the rise of Jonathon Ng

The Dublin singer-producer on how fame found him at his home
Jonathon Ng, aka EDEN
By the metrics used to measure success in today’s music industry, Jonathon Ng is one of Europe’s fastest rising stars. The 22-year-old from Dublin may not be widely known in his home city, but in the world of online streaming he has stealthily built an international following as Eden, a purveyor of infectious, introspective and minimalist electro-pop.
On YouTube, videos for the seven tracks on Eden’s 2016 EP, I Think You Think Too Much of Me, have amassed more than 15 million views. That EP alone generated more than 90 million Spotify streams. It also brought him to the attention of Lorde, who left a glowing compliment on Ng’s Facebook page. “Please keep making lovely things,” she wrote. “I’ll listen.”
That year he signed a management deal with Scooter Braun, the US manager behind Ariana Grande, Kanye West and Justin Bieber, which led to a record deal with Astralwerks, home of the Chemical Brothers, and a 50-date US tour. Until then, Ng had not performed live — and this is what is most interesting about his success.
Long before pop stars were posting on his social media pages and high-profile managers had sought him out, the Dubliner had amassed a huge fanbase. Millions of people were streaming his music in 2015, yet he remained anonymous, leaving his bedroom in Stillorgan, Dublin, only to attend school. The Irish music industry didn’t know he existed.
“Around that time I had songs with hundreds of thousands of plays, and sometimes millions of plays,” he says. “No one from the music industry had contacted me, but I also didn’t send the songs to labels or to management companies, or to blogs. Eventually, though, some blogs picked up on it. The YouTube channel Mr Suicide Sheep helped me to release my first EP, End Credits, and they sent the songs to some blogs, who wrote about it. That got the song End Credits to the top of this chart called Hype Machine. Then I got an email from a guy called Michael George, who works for Scooter Braun. I’d never heard of Scooter at that point.”
Ng was flown to Los Angeles to meet Braun and quickly realised who he was dealing with. Braun’s interest alerted other managers and labels. Ng was hot property. “The emails kept coming through and suddenly I was talking to six to ten different management groups like Scooter’s, and 30 or so record labels and publishers. I was, like, ‘What the hell is going on?’ I thought, ‘This is amazing and really exciting,’ but it was also too much.”
It’s easy to understand what Braun saw in Ng. Standing at over 6ft tall, he has the pop star looks to go with his talent. That hasn’t stopped him trying to retain some sort of anonymity, though. Until recently he used blurred images to obscure his face on his promotional photos. “I wanted to not be known, like, personally at all,” he says. “I kind of wanted to be like Hannah Montana or something — to have this double life. There was one point where all my friends were beginning to find out that I was making music. I’d reached a point where I couldn’t keep it quiet.
I couldn’t just have music online and be a normal Dublin teenager.”
The second of five children born to an Irish mother and Hong Kong-born father, Ng began violin lessons at the age of six. He later taught himself piano, guitar and drums, and played in orchestras and bands before he became inspired by the possibilities of electronic music and the freedom that it gave him.
“Suddenly, I realised that I didn’t need other people to create the ideas in my head,” he says, “so I began working on music by myself every second I could.”
By 2013, his Leaving Cert year, he set himself a challenge: to write, record and release a new piece of music every Monday. “I didn’t have to study a ton to do OK,” he says of balancing this ambition with his schoolwork. “My parents put me into a night study thing and when I came home they didn’t expect me to do more work. So I would literally come home at 9pm and work on music until midnight or 1am.
“So, in the months leading up to my Leaving Cert, I released a song every Monday. I released way too much music and it was always very different. One day it might be acoustic, and another week it might be instrumental. People always liked them equally. I was used to seeing statistics like 1,000 people liked this post, or 100,000 views on this, or a million plays on that.”
Ng never planned to perform live, below, but he has recently embarked on a world tour
Despite such interest, Ng says he was content to put his music online without charge and that he never planned to perform live. “My debut EP [in 2015] wasn’t available to buy. Not only was it not for sale, I didn’t want it to be for sale,” he says. “I only put it on Spotify because, when I released it, Spotify was a new platform that people were listening to music on. I thought I might as well put it up there. But it’s not on iTunes because I didn’t want people to be able to pay for it. I don’t know why.”
In that same year Ng dropped out of his science degree at Trinity College and changed his tune. In an attempt to appease his parents, he totted up his numbers on Soundcloud and YouTube and drew up a business plan.
“I was prepared to be kicked out of my house if it meant that I could keep making music,” he says. “My parents were angry at first that I dropped out of college, but that’s expected. One day they asked me to talk about it and I was reluctant because the last time we talked about it, we were shouting at each other. I googled ‘How to write a business plan’ and I followed the headings and steps. Then I gave it to them. After about a week they read it and sat down with me and went, ‘OK.’
“I guess it was proof that it wasn’t this teenage thing of ‘I’m going to make music.’ I had thought it through. With the views I was getting on Soundcloud and YouTube I thought that if I started selling my music, I’d probably make a certain amount each month. The money I was making from Spotify was growing. I think that by that summer I was making as much money, if not more, from Spotify alone than I thought I’d make if I was selling my music on all platforms.”
In fact, two million listeners stream his tracks on Spotify each month. Glen Hansard or Sinead O’Connor have about half that number of listeners, while local radio favourites such as Walking on Cars and the Coronashave a fraction of that figure. Even the all-conquering Picture This can only muster fewer than half a million monthly listens. And as Spotify plays replace chart placements, and YouTube views counter radio plays, Ng’s figures put him in prime position.
Ng’s debut album, Vertigo, was released in January and is a more minimalistic work than his early releases. It’s a collection of songs about heartbreak that he says he “wouldn’t take back for the world”.
The European leg of his world tour began last week with a sold-out show at the Olympia Theatre, Dublin. “I’m living comfortably and I get to do music as my job,” he says, when I ask him what his success means to him. “I’ve made something that I really love. That’s the success, I guess. That’s freedom. I’ve made something that I wanted to make and no one else has touched it. It is what it is.”

Are you going to be voicing Batman in future DC animated films after Son of Batman? It's been hinted that there may be another but I am in the dark (geddit?)
If I do, it will only be the NEW 52 Batman. Kevin Conroy has the rest of it sewn up. Love his Batman voice but I needed to find my own. I think fans are slowly coming around to it. At least I hope so!
Hi Jason. I feel like you've had a lot of bad luck with good TV shows. Out of all the shows you've done, which do you wish most had another season? Honestly? All of them. In JUSTICE was ahead of it's time. I still think there is a hit show in there somewhere. I mean the Kings went on to make The Good Wife a couple of years later! It had all the ingredients! LIFE ON MARS? I guess people just never found it in the numbers that it needed to stay on the air. But I think it deserved at least one more season. TERRA NOVA? What's left to say about that cancellation that hasn't already been said? After a troubled start we were just finding our groove. I am still convinced that show could have made Fox a lot of money. But what do I know? And I also think VEGAS should have got again. 12 million viewers! Any other network would have had spin offs and Ralph Lamb action figures! But I guess CBS has a very high bar for success. They are the #1 network after all. One of these days, one of shows will get a second season and I will be dancing naked in the streets… I'll tweet a photo...
Hey Jason O'Mara! I love your performance in Life on Mars, Terra Nova and your voice acting on Justice League: War and Son of Batman, it would be awesome if you got to my questions as I woke up at 3 am just for your AMA. Can you tell us about your upcoming project To Appomattox? That moment when you are standing in front of the mic and you just think to yourself, "I'm Batman. I really am Batman. In fact I have to Batman. Get it together, Batman." TO APPOMATTOX is an epic Civil War mini series that may not get made without the involvement of fans! And I really, really really want to play U.S. Grant! Click this for more info! www.kickstarter.com/projects/1258300090/to-appomattox-a-civil-war-event-miniseries.
Why should I donate to To Appomattox? Because it's the quintessential Civil War mini-series. Michael Frost Beckner has tried for YEARS to get it made and for some reason, TV networks think that nobody is interested in the American Civil War! Can you believe that? I can't. So what has he done? He's giving America a chance to decide whether her people want to see this get made. The beauty of crowd funding is that the fans become the TV network. They own a piece of it. Without their support, TO APPOMATTOX might never get made and I think that would be a great shame. So if you love history, great TV, great storytelling and great acting, please head over to Kickstarter and get involved! Pledges start at $2!
Hi Jason, Did you work with Michael Fassbender and Steven Spielberg while on Band of Brothers? If so - what were your fondest memories while working with them? Briefly with Fassbender. I knew straight away that he was going to be a big deal. Sometimes you can just see it.
I missed Steven Spielberg's set visit by a day! I was disappointed at the time, but I have met him since. It's really distracting talking to him because there's a voice inside your head screaming I AM TALKING TO STEVEN SPIELBERG!!! So you really have to concentrate. A great man, obviously, but as down to earth as any filmmaker I have ever met. He was hopeful that TERRA NOVA would get another season at the time (it was a week before Fox cancelled it) so that's what we were talking about.
How'd you feel about your character? Was it an easy or rough role for you to slip into? Were you happier when they changed the pilot from Chicago to New York City? Did it have any effect on the filming as a result? I had to do some dialect work beforehand and for every episode. I wanted Sam Tyler to have a New York accent that wasn't too strong. Sometimes subtle accents can be the hardest! Actually, it was moved from LA to New York. I think New York was a better choice… I think it changed for the better. We were able to draw from iconic 70's films like THE FRENCH CONNECTION, SERPICO, THE SEVEN UPS and PRINCE OF THE CITY. New York is more photogenic and iconic.
What was it like working with Stephen Lang? I met him in Milwaukee at a show and he seemed like a great man, even if he talked a bit fast. Hi everybody! Thanks for stopping by! I'll TRY to get to everybody and I'll be here all day on and off so keep checking back! I won't answer in any particular order so don't be discouraged if I skip you!
Slang (which how he likes his friends to call him) is the best. An incredibly talented and vastly experienced veteran stage film & TV actor who loses himself in every role he plays. He is a delight to work with. His dedication to his work and his physique is nothing short of inspirational. I am THRILLED that he's currently working with James Cameron again on the Avatar sequels. His character is so badass.
I agree! Thanks for the response Mr. O'Mara! By the way, because of Slang's AVATAR commitment, he had to step down as Abraham Lincoln - but because he loves the TO APPOMATTOX script so much, he switched to the role of the messianic martyr John Brown, whose failed raid to free the slaves lit the fuse that started the war...
Hey Jason! What's your favorite project you've ever worked on? I have to say LIFE ON MARS US was pretty special. There are others, but this one took the cake. First of all, it took a long time to get made - so when it did finally come together it was such a relief. We also had a large contingent of naysayers that were convinced that the US version would be horrible. While we didn't convert them all, we certainly converted some. There's something sweet about changing somebody's mind…
Also, the cast! What a cast! I was surrounded by some of the best actors out there. Harvey Keitel (as a youngster, I never imagined I would get to share the screen with such a legend), Michael Imperioli (an incredible talent and lovely man) and Gretchen Mol (beautiful and the only actress I know who can blush on cue - REALLY!) and many others. I was in heaven. Besides, the role of Sam Tyler was a once in lifetime opportunity. Who knew that a cop would have to delve so deep into his own psyche? I gave that show every ounce of energy I could muster and I am very proud of it. Even though it was cancelled, I still consider it a success!
Do you ever get offered comedies on tv? Would you do one? You were very funny in High Stakes. Sometimes. Comedy is a risky business. It's either huge hit or a huge bust. I admire the fearlessness of comic actors and comedians. I wish that I had done some stand up when I was younger. I also wish I had learned to play the guitar. Wait, what was the question?
Hey Jason, First of all, thank you for contributing! If you are reading this and don't know what Axel927 is talking about, hit the kickstarter link above!
Big fan of your work - especially Life on Mars and Terra Nova (and already a To Appomattox donor)! My favorite book? Wow. So many. I think the book that has changed me more than any other is THE CATCHER IN THE RYE. I read it at the right age and it had a profound effect. I always try to catch myself if I sound too 'phonie'. Holden hates phonies.
I was wondering what your favorite book is, or what book you wish you had time to read but haven't yet? This year, I read a book called BLINK by Malcolm Gladwell. Fascinating thesis on how we make snap decisions about things and how our brains in those moments become super-computers. It has a lot to do with my new TV series that we'll be shooting later in the year. How a snap decision can change and influence your entire life. Fascinating stuff.
Also, what was it like working with legendary Harvey Keitel? As for Harvey? He is a legend! A very intense man. He taught me a lot about screen acting. Every time we shot a scene together it felt dangerous. Like I didn't know what was going to happen. A lot like real life!
How did you get into voice acting? Do you prefer live to voice acting? I used to voice the crosswords results hotlines in London in the mid 90's. For £5 an hour I would sit in a booth and record scripts, then program a computer to hook up the recording to a phone line. If you needed the crossword results from the newspaper, you would call the number and hear me say "Hi! Welcome to the Daily (whatever) Crossword Results Hotline! Here are the answers to all the down clues!". It wasn't the best job ever but it paid my rent and taught me how to listen to my own voice.
Do I prefer live acting as opposed to voice acting? Well, it's all the same really. Just a different aspect of the same thing. I still feel like a Noob in the animated DC world - but I am learning fast!
Are you a cat or dog person? What is your favorite kind of cheese? Can you drive a car with a standard transmission? How do you feel about guy liner? Who is the most famous person around whom you've belched? What do you think of people that put ketchup on hotdogs? Both. And I have one of each.
Manchego.
Yes.
Guy liner is not for me.
Dennis Quaid.
It's a free country.
Any chance of Damian Boyle showing up on The Good Wife again? He was fun. There's always a chance! At least, that's what the writers Robert & Michelle King told me. Season 6 maybe? He's such a dangerous, smarmy troublemaker. I love him!
Hey Jason! What would like to have seen happen, had Terra Nova gotten a second season? I'd like to know what the hell was going on in the Badlands. Wouldn't you?
Thanks for the AMA! What is the best practical joke you have seen on the set? On Halloween, one of the crew members came on the VEGAS set dressed exactly like Dennis Quaid as Ralph Lamb. Nobody said anything. We were just waiting for Dennis to notice. When he finally did, he did a double take that was absolutely priceless! It was worth the wait. Dennis is a very good sport.
Could you answer my question, Just so I can say I got Jason O'Mara to answer my question?? What's your question? Wait was that it? Did I just answer your question with a question? What's going on here? I am so confused...
Hi! Really loved your work in Life on Mars. I hope you'll get the funding for To Appomattox! It's a project with a ton of potential, in my opinion. My question is - what made you want to be a part of To Appomattox? The script! It's brilliant! I also can't understand why something so important - A miniseries about the Civil War - the most important, tragic and dramatic event in American History - is having such a hard time getting made! To me, it's a no brainer and I just wanted to be involved from the very beginning. And now, the thought of playing Grant has me foaming at the mouth! I really can't wait to get started! But we still have a long road ahead of us to raise the budget. That's why the writer, Michael Frost Beckner, has started this Kickstarter campaign. Did I mention that you don't get charged unless the goal is reached? Well, I just did! Pledges start at $2. Two measly buckaroos...
What's your personal opinion on Batfleck and the development of batman vs superman? I am a Ben Affleck fan. The guy knows what he is doing as an actor and as a filmmaker. I don't understand the backlash. Contempt prior to investigation. Give the guy a chance! It sounds like they will be doing a very interesting take on the character. It's tough to make the Bat your own. There is 75 year legacy! But I have high hopes for this. Batman Vs Superman has been in development for years. Decades even. I think this is the best shot for a movie like that to work. Let's get behind it! (Am I being too optimistic?)
Good afternoon, sir. I loved Life on Mars very much, saddened when it ended. I hope you get the chance to play Grant in To Appomattox. I even pledged $100 to the project. Have you been to any of the Grant historic sites in preparation for the role? Not yet! But as soon as the goal is reached…
Thanks for your kind words and for joining the campaign!
Hi Jason! Out of all the shows you've been in which one did you like the most? As I said above, probably LIFE ON MARS. But I have also made numerous pilots that never made the air. Wish you could see COUNTDOWN that I made with Graham Yost (JUSTIFIED) in 2004, DRIFT (with Chazz Palmenteri) or MARLOWE (based on the Chandler books) in 2007. I guess there were some things I liked more than the executives who call the shots!
Jason, thank you so much for doing this AMA! I really enjoyed both Terra Nova and Life on Mars... they were cancelled before their time. While part of me just wants to ask "do you even lift, bro?" I have a slightly more serious question, and I'm just going to assume you workout pretty hard based on your muscle definition in Terra Nova. So, what's your favorite workout routine...? How do you split your muscle groups up (if at all)? And do you still play rugby? I don't get paid for saying this, but I do P90X. I like it. It's old school muscle confusion. All round fitness. Makes you feel 10 years younger. Just started P90X3. My son plays rugby, so now and again the dads get together and play a bit of beach rugby at the weekends. It sounds like a laugh but it's more physical than I thought it would be. Last time I played I practically coughed up a lung.
Were you excited about working with Constance Zimmer again, and do you know if she will be a regular on "Complications"? Yes. Very much so. I consider Constance a friend, so our scenes together were so much fun to play. And yes, if not a regular, hopefully recurring. She's fabulous in the pilot, as always.
How did you like filming the Complications pilot in Atlanta? Did you get a chance to sightsee or look around? :) Not really. Some nice restaurants though (I am terrible at remembering restaurant names - Abattoir was one, I think. Not an appetizing name but delicious all the same!)
I'm going back in September so I plan on seeing some sights! Any suggestions?
If they made a movie about your life, who would play you (other than yourself)? Jennifer Lawrence.
Jason, looking forward to To Appomattox. I am going to have to look through the rewards when I get home and decide where to pledge. I was a big fan of Terra Nova. Two questions. What were we going to learn about Commander Taylor in season 2 that we never learned? And, what is Katherine Heigl like in person? The first one, I wish i knew. The writers had some ideas but never told me what they were. The second, she was always very nice to me and we had fun in our scenes together.
Hey Jason! What has been your favorite experience with a fan outside of work? Maybe I am just lucky but all my fans seem to also be amazingly cool people! I don't seem to attract the freaky ones. Sometimes I get opportunities to help a fan in need or cheer someone up who's been sick. Those are the most rewarding experiences. I once went to meet a group of LIFE ON MARS fans in New York (the LOMians) who met at the same place every year to talk about the show. I didn't tell them I was coming, I just showed up. We had a lovely chat and took some photos. Just the nicest, most down to earth people. Like you guys here today!
Hey, Jason, Glenda here from Toronto. Just wanted to say thanks for your great performance as the uber bad guy on The Closer. You're now playing another great baddie on The Good Wife, when do we get to see you play one of the good guys? Glenda, this may shock you, but I almost ALWAYS play the good guy! Batman, Jack Lamb, Jim Shannon, Sam Tyler, Charles Conti, AB Stiles. All good guys! Because I tend to play the hero roles when I am a regular character, I like to play freaks when I come on someone else's show to guest star. Everybody has to get their freak on somehow!
What was your favorite memory of working on Monarch of the Glen? Happy happy memories! The Highlands of Scotland in the Summer! Hikes in the mountains, fishing in the lakes, weekends in the isle of Skye. It was magical. The whole cast formed a tight bond on that season. Some of them, like Hamish and Alastair are friends to this day. Still can't believe Dickie Briers is gone...
Is there a particular version of Batman that you took inspiration from for your performance? After all the character has been around for 75 years now, and has had many actors play the role in live action and animation. Where I started wasn't where I ended up, so it's hard to say. If anything, I was trying NOT to get influenced, but I am sure I was on some level. Although many people didn't like the voice in The Dark Knight and TDKR, I thought it was pretty interesting. A strong choice.
I know that Rhona yelled at me but seriously-what are some of your favorite fan encounters? I already mentioned my favorite in one of the other answers! And yes, it was that one!
What is your opinion on skittles changing the lime skittle to green apple? I AM ALL FOR IT. APPLES ARE TASTIER THAN LIMES AND THAT IS A FACT.
Why do networks seem so quick to pull the plug on shows rather than giving them a couple seasons to build an audience? Money. Cash. Dough. Greenbacks. Wanga. Quids. Dollars. Scratch.
Hey Jason, I loved your Batman voice in Justice League: War and Son of Batman. How did you prepare for voicing such an iconic character? Thanks :) Thank you. It wasn't so much preparation as it was trying different things out. The first pass of JUSTICE LEAGUE:WAR wasn't as good as the second and so on. I feel like in SON OF BATMAN I've got into a groove that is working. We all know Batman. We know what's going on inside him. I just didn't want to push all that too far. I wanted to underplay him, not overplay him. That allows the audience an opportunity to guess at what he's really thinking or feeling. If it's all spelled out, it's not as enjoyable to watch our favorite Caped Crusader.
Just wanted to say In a World was one of the better films I've seen in the last year. Any stories from that set? It was great and it was great watching Lake wear three hats. I don't think I could do that (write/direct/star). Certainly not at the same time!
I only worked for a couple of days on it, but I think we shot a kiss between Michaela Watkins character and mine which never made the movie. Probably better without it.
Hello! Could you please explain that ship at the end of Terra Nova? And if you know, give a brief synopsis of season 2 (that should've happened). The dinosaurs finally ate the Shannons. The end.
I love that show so much! Looking forward to Son of Batman! Seriously, wish I knew the real answer. Thanks for asking though!
What did Stephen Lang smell like? Raindrops and roses.
I loved Life on Mars and I enjoy The Good Wife, but I absolutely LOVED you on The Closer. Any chance you could appear on Major Crimes, or on any show where you ooze such psychotic/creepy/sexy vibes? You're such a great psycho... I will take that as a compliment!
You never know. It would be fun to bring back Bill Croelick though!
So what is it like being able to say "I'm Batman," with a straight face? It's the best feeling ever. Try it.
What are your favorite Irish bands or musicians? I love going to Ireland and discovering new music there. Love your work on The Good Wife! Thanks! No, thank you. The Strypes, Declan O'Rourke, Imelda May and anything that Glen Hansard turns his hand to. These aren't new musicians (except maybe The Strypes) but my finger isn't on the pulse like it once was...
Oh, I have another question: How would your colleagues describe you in 2 words? This was an interview question we used recently and we got some interesting answers! Irish guy.
It would be a fun story line to have Damian turn state witness against his mob friends and have Diane as his attorney...and of course Kalinda would have to dig up info to save him, even though she hates him. Great idea!
Name 3 items you'd take to a desert island. PS Hi from April in Oklahoma. (Yeah that April.) The Complete Works Of William Shakespeare.
My laptop.
A Wi-Fi booster.
Hello! I don't have a question, just wanted to say that I am a fan of your work and I hope you have many great projects ahead of you! Stay awesome. Well, you've made my day. And you've made my job easier ;)
Hello Jason Been a fan for ages. Just wanted to ask what your favorite part of acting is. My favorite so far was Life on Mars. Great cast! Have a lovely day! My favorite part? I have many favorite parts. Like the exhilaration of walking on stage on an opening night. Or the feeling you get when you share electricity with another actor in a scene. The feeling of being exhausted after a long day of shooting, knowing that you have put your heart, mind body and soul into something and there's nothing left. Plus I still have to pinch myself that I get to do this for a living! People pay me to do what I love. That's not how life works for a lot of people so I consider myself blessed and very fortunate.
We have the same name and we're both from Dublin. I just want you to know that a LOT of people have been looking for you on facebook. Well, I am on Facebook! I have been posting more recently so please drop by and add a comment! Always good to run into a fellow Dubliner. Named Jason.
Hey Jason ... Greetings from Germany ... "Life on Mars" from mid-May for the first time in the German TV ... I'm curious about your German dubbing voice ... I keep my fingers crossed for the TO Appomattox - project .. . Important and significant U.S. history. My German dubbing voice? I am intrigued! But I don't have any say in that. I assume he sounds far more butch and masculine than I do! Danke Schoen!
Space Truckers was the bomb! I think it was A BOMB too, if I remember. But I can appreciate the cult following that it has.
It has a special place in heart because even though I only had one line, it was my first one in a movie! I was so excited to do that movie...
